PAYING FOR YOUR EDUCATION AT THE INSTITUTE FOR RELIGION, PEACE AND JUSTICE
Tuition
ONLINE CERTIFICATE AND GRADUATE DEGREES
We try to keep our tuition as low as possible to ensure our programs are as accessible as possible.
We at the Institute for Religion, Peace and Justice realize that enroling in one of our programs is a significant investment on the part of our students, whether financially, with your time and energy, or in how you may need to restructure your lives in inconvenient ways to allow yourself the opportunity to study with us. The life of a student can mean a precarious financial existence as an added pressure on top of the challenge and excitement of your studies. We don't take this for granted.
As a private, independent Institute of a not-for-profit University with no formal denominational affiliation, we do not receive any governmental or denominational support. This means that all of our operational costs are met through tuition, with approximately 15% offset by our generous donors. Our tuition is therefore unusually low for an Institute like ours housed at a private University and is far lower than most tuition costs in the United States.
With all of the above in mind, the Institute for Religion, Peace and Justice is committed to keeping the cost of our tuition as low as possible. While our programs are university accredited and our tuition therefore reflects that of our institutional home at St. Stephen's University, we have a strong desire to help our students keep their costs down. To this end, IRPJ offers a limited number of generous bursaries and scholarships from our Jim Forest Scholarship and Bursary Fund.
Listed below are the various options within each of our programs with the cost of tuition given for completing the entire program based on the single course tuition amount of $1,180 CAD per 3-credit hour course. All quoted tuition amounts listed below are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are the same cost for Canadian, U.S., and international students from any country in the world (Note: St. Stephen's University reserves the right to alter the cost of tuition for its programs at any time, but we will ensure students receive adequate warning and time to make the necessary adjustments).
